In Ontario, we're lucky to have several species of migratory fish that move into the rivers from the great lakes at various times throughout the year. The list of migratory species can be looked at as being: Rainbow Trout (steelhead), Brown Trout, Chinook Salmon, Coho Salmon, Pink Salmon, Atlantic Salmon and in a few rare circumstances Coaster Brook Trout. Nearly every stream that flows into the great lakes sees a run in both the fall and spring of various species.
