Ontario has a large number of premiere steelhead and salmon fly fishing rivers. The Great Lakes are massive inland freshwater seas that are the perfect habitat for these giant migratory species from the west coast.
| The rivers and streams that enter the Great Lakes in Central/Eastern Canada provide the perfect habitat for migratory salmon and trout species. Chinook, coho and pink salmon run these rivers each fall. Rainbow trout and Brown trout make the trek up these rivers in the fall as well, but the bulk of the steelhead run occurs in the spring. | |
